Q. Do your acorns come with the caps attached?

A. No. Caps naturally fall off the acorn when the acorn falls from the tree. The acorn is a growing seed and sheds the cap.

* Burr Oak Acorns come with the caps attached. Some acorns in your order may have the caps attached, but for the most part - caps are not attached. You may purchase acorn caps here.

Q. What is your refund/return policy?

A. All sales are final. Acorno does not accept returns nor process refunds. Due to the nature of the product being sold (acorns) - we can not guaranteed what you may expect from a product that is not manufactured.

Q. Where do you ship?

A. We only ship to the USA and Canada.

Q. When will I receive my order?

A. Orders are processed and shipped within 2 business days. Craft & display orders may require an additional 1-3 days to prepare. Orders under 50 lbs. are shipped via USPS priority mail which typically takes 2-5 days to arrive. Orders over 51 lbs are shipped via UPS ground which typically takes 3-8 days depending on where you live. Orders are shipped Monday - Friday. Our Friday cut-off time for shipping is 10am est. Canada orders typically take 6-10 business days to arrive.

Q. Do you offer overnight express shipping?

A. Yes! Overnight express orders will incur a $10 rush fee as well as overnight shipping charges. Please call us at 802-363-1582 to process your overnight express order.

Q. Are your acorns all-natural?

A. Yes. Our acorns are all-natural.

Q. I received mold on my acorns, is this normal?

A. During warmer months and harvest season (fall) acorns contain a high amount of moisture. Acorns, like most nuts, are perishable and can develop mold due to warmer temps and moisture content. Since this is a normal occurence during the warmer months - we do not refund or accept returns if your acorns arrive with mold. You can simply wash your acorns off in cold water and allow them to sun-dry inside or outside. If you are feeding squirrels or deer - there is no proven studies that show moldy acorns are harmful to squirrels and deer. Squirrels eat almost anything and moldy acorns are natural occurence outdoors during the warmer months.

Q. I received small white worms in my order, is this normal?

A. The white small worm is larvae and larvae devour acorns. Since our acorns are all natural and not sprayed with chemicals - acorns may arrive with white larvae inside the acorns or in the box. Simply empty your box, place the acorns in a brown bag and throw the box in your outside trash can or dumpster. We do not process refunds or accept returns for acorns with white larvae. If your skittish about the white larvae - you can order our artificial acorns or our insect-free acorns.

Q. How do I store my acorns?

A. Acorns have a high moisture content and need to be stored in a cool-dry place. Store acorns in a brown paper bag or cardboard box in a dark dry room with cool temps. Make sure you open your box (order) as soon as you receive your order and follow the proper acorn storage procedure above. Never store acorns in plastic bags. Acorns for seed can be stored in a fridge or cooler.
